door Karl DonvilRoyal Fox Terrier Club of Belgium celebrates its 125th annyversary.
It was 1887 when the Fox Terrier Club of Belgium was founded, registered as club number 3 in the repertory of the Royal Society Saint Hubert. The club received its predicate "Royal" in1929.
Falaën, a small village in teh Ardennes, east to Charleroi and South to Namur, was the place to be on Saturday 28 of July for no less than 139 Fox Terrier fanciers. And they came from no less than 13 different countries. This show deserves to be called an International show. Exhibitors came from as far as Sweden , Holland, France, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Russia, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Poland,the UK and Belgium of course.
Mr.Malcolm Murray and Mr.Andrew Goodsell, both from the UK, were invited to judge. Mr.Murray judged the 103 Smooths while Mr.Goodsell had 36 Wire Haireds. Mrs.Margareth Hugues was granted the honor to judge Best In Show, which title she gave to the Wire Fox Terrier Ch. Crispy Legacy, a 5 year old Male, entered in Champion Class and bred and showed by Mr. Agneta Astrom from Sweden.
