by Oili HeleniusFinnish German Shepherds Sieger Show 2005 took place 5-7.8.2005 in Oulu, in the northern west coast of Finland. Oulu is quite far to the major of german shepherd owners of Finland, but the location didn?t affect much - more than 300 entries from Finland, Estonia, Russia and Sweden was seen!
The judges were top breed specialists, Mr Peter Messler and Mrs Margit Van Dorssen from Germany and Mr Tom Kankkonen from Finland.
On friday the show started with breeding examination and 7 entries. All entered dogs were accepted, one for D class (SV) and 6 for FIN class (Finnish).
103 puppies (from 6 to 12 months) was entered to puppy classes. Mrs Van Dorssen judged females 5-6 months, males 8-10 months and males from 10-12 months. Mr Messler took males 5-6 months and females 6-8 months and Mr Kankkonen judged males 6-8 months, females 8-10 months and females from 10 to 12 months.
In females 5-6 months Mrs Van Dorssen chose in Finland bred Svarzekoks Carine (+Zilber Vasserfal Mendeley - +Svarzekoks Yerga) to win her class. All puppies in this class got the judgement "promising". Mr Messler judged males of same age and his first choise was as well in Finland bred Bar-Waxan Legend (Endrefalva Michigan - Bar-Waxan Kimbal). Mr Messler continued to females 6-8 months and in that class he liked most a puppy from Sweden. The winner of the class was Olhedens Tiina (+Ghandi Von Arlett - Mischalands Hazej). Mr Kankkonen from Finland judged the next puppyclass, males from 6 to 8 months and his choise was again from Finland, namely Svarzekoks Dominik (+Karenberg Quentin - +Fest Kiefer Editta) but in the next group, females 8-10 months, he found in Sweden bred Mischalands Tara the best of her class. Swedish breeder got the first place again in the males 8-10 month, when mrs Van Dorssen chose Mischalands Texas (+Quentin Karanberg - Mischalands Goa) to win the class. Swedish triumphal march continued again in class females 10-12 month, when mr Kankkonen found Mischalands Quita (+Quentin Karanberg - Mischalands Lana) best in her group. The last puppyclass was judged by mrs Van Dorssen and she didn?t give any balsam to Finnish breeders wounds, namely she chose Estrelles Önnez (Bar-Waxan Åriginal - Estrelles Enfi-Astarta) from Estonia to win the class!

Saturday was for individua judging to all dogs over 12 months. The weather was the best of all three days and we got really nice sunshine the whole day and even in the evening when there was the show dinner and after that the program continued outside, by the rings. Very nice way to get people together, even they who were not prepared to dressing up for the formal dinner in restaurant could enjoy the evening in more unformal way.
Sunday started rainy and foggy but the show must go on :-). The first class of the day was females 12-18 monts judged by mr Tom Kankkonen. His first choise of the class was a Finnish dog, Sensen Mann Una (+Altenbergerland Ando - Karats Raffi). Mr Kankkonen gave totally 17 SG:s (Sehr Gut), 10 G:s (Gut) and 5 A:s (Ausreichend) in the class.
Males 12-18 month was judged by Mr Messler and also this time the winner came from Finland. He was Demants Brasko (Mischalands Puskas - Demants Kleopatra). In this class there was 17 SG:s, 7 G:s and 4 A:s. One dog got hurt during the competition and got the permission to stop before the ring was ready.
Females 18-24 months was judged by mrs Van Dorssen and again we got the winner from Finland, she was Bar-Waxan Disney (Ljustikhof Dorion - Bar-Waxan Kimbal). In this class there was totally 25 SG:s, 7 G:s and one A .
Even the judge to the next group, males 18-24 months, was from Finland, the winner was not. Mr Kankkonen?s choise to the winner was Mischalands Joagin (Flipp Von Arlett - Mischalands Jette) from Sweden. In total 16 SG:s and 5 G:s was given in this group.
The main female group, over 24 monts was judged by mrs Van Dorssen. During the competition we got sunshine and rain but the winner was still found. Mrs Van Dorssen liked most and chose as Siegerinn +Karats Kelly (+Whisky Vom Bierstadter Hof - +Karats Olly) that is bred in Denmar but owned by Finnish Satu and Sami Baggström and Jari Kurki. The second place was taken by a Swedish Mischalands Lana (+Bax Luisenstrasse - Mischalands Tilda) and third place was taken by in Finland bred and owned +Svarzekoks Cindy (+Svarzekoks Jack - +Schlossgässchen Elbe). Quite a victory to Cindy, namely she was 5 weeks pregnant during the show and it started to show already. In this class mrs Van Dorssen gave 4 VA:s, 13 V:s, 2 SG.s, 2 G:s and 2 A:s.
The main class of males, over 24 months was judged by Mr Messler. The competition was hard. On the top there were males from Finland, Sweden and Estonia but the Swedish team took the victory this time. Mr Messler chose VA1 and Finnish Sieger 2005 in Sweden bred Mischalands Jeltsin (+Kevin Murrtal - Mischlanads Silla) who also won this year the Siegershow in Sweden. Second place and VA2 took by in Finland bred +Sensen Mann Atlas (Miko Alexyrvo Hof - +Sensen Mann Mandy). The VA3 titel went to Estonia, to a grey male Margman Torsten (+Berrekasten Vom Timo - +Margman Gloria). In total Mr Messler gave 4 VA:s, 18 V:s, 3 SG:s and 1 G.
